There's nothing Incorrect with the Muslim reciting ruqyah for himself. Which is permissible; certainly it is an effective Sunnah, for that Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) recited ruqyah for himself, and many of his Companions recited ruqyah for on their own.
